Privacy Policy

The short version

GrocerySlash collects the minimum amount of data needed to run the site: your email address if you ask to join the Weekly Deals Digest, and basic aggregate traffic statistics. The site currently runs no advertising network. We never sell your email address, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Information we collect

Newsletter subscriptions. When you ask to join the Weekly Deals Digest by email, we keep the email address (and any store preferences) you send us. We use this only to send you the newsletter and to personalize which deals appear at the top.

Anonymous traffic data. We rely on aggregate, privacy-respecting traffic statistics from our hosting infrastructure to understand which pages are popular. We do not log IP addresses to identify individuals.

Advertising. The site currently displays no third-party advertising and sets no advertising identifiers. If we introduce ads in the future, we will update this policy before they go live.

How we use your information

We use your subscription data to deliver the newsletter you asked for, occasionally survey our readers about which features to prioritize, and re-confirm your preferences once a year. We use anonymous traffic data to make editorial decisions about which stores and categories to expand.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the infrastructure vendors that host the site and deliver email, each limited to using the data on our behalf for that purpose.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can request a copy of any personal data we have about you, request that we delete it, or correct anything that's wrong, by emailing hello@groceryslash.com. We respond within 30 days. If you're a California or EU resident, you have additional statutory rights described in the long-form policy on this page below.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies — search and pagination state live only in the page URL. If we ever add cookies (for example with a future ad network), we will describe them here first. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will continue to work normally.

Changes

We update this policy when our data practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes are also announced in the Weekly Deals Digest.
